Welcome
"The most beautiful people…. are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. Beautiful people do not just happen….”
- Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for life to improve and things to get better.
You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.
Many of the people I work with come into therapy struggling with anxiety (panic attacks, general anxiety, worry and tension, obsessive-compulsive, social anxiety), depression, post-traumatic stress (military, RCMP, abuse) or relationship problems. I also help those working with grief/loss issues, sleep problems, parenting concerns, chronic fatigue, chronic pain and headache, women's issues, work related stress and beyond.
In our work together, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, which include: client-centered therapy, narrative therapy, insight oriented therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness therapy.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through emotional difficulties, have a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you.
